Explorations into the KDE desktop on Arch continues.....
I am still not able to set the lua rings function !
so i downloaded a template conkyrc from arch forum, edited and customized it to display as shown in the screenie !

Most details are shown by archey on the screenshot.
Themes and Icons used : Reflektions
Window Decoration: Ambiance.
Conky: Modified and customized from one of the template in the Arch Forum.

Just removed the traditional taskbar, added spacer and "icon only taskbar" to give a look of a simple dock. added a few apps as launchers to frequent access !

Wallpaper : Another awsome sakasa creation from here => [link]

It's not exactly hard to get conky to render lua.... just install lua
and compile conky with lua support... and you should be set.

Well I have no idea whatsoever whether your
distro (pre)compiles conky with lua support.

If it does not, then you have to compile it
with lua support yourself.

I take it you have followed this guide as
you are using arch? [link]

yep first timer for arch after a long essay with ubuntu and mint ! everything was working out of the box for most essential things....
but arch and pcbsd needs to be set up the way we want it and i seem to be liking that these days ! hehehe...
setting up my work printer connected to windows pc to function in arch over wlan0 and ofcourse conky lua, these are the 2 things pending in both (arch and pcbsd)

Ic... well, conky is really easy to setup
with lua (I have no interest in this myself
but I have tried it and on gentoo I just had
to enable the lua flags and re-emerge conky)
and according to the link I gave you you just
have to install the package "conky-lua" for
a conky with lua support. Have you tried this?
